چکیده
Objective To identify areas that present a higher risk of exposure to accidents with scorpions in Brazil. Methods We used techniques spatial prioritisation determine the most vulnerable localities envenomation by four scorpion species. Our integrated ecological niche models health investment, antivenin availability, access care facilities and metrics human impact data. Results The indicated three species (Tityus bahiensis, Tityus serrulatus, stigmurus) are more associated population density, while T. obscurus demonstrated strong association temperature variations during year. Spatial northern northeastern Alternatively, isolated but densely populated southeastern central regions also emerged as priority. Conclusion Mapping where humans likely interact can assist design efficient public policies.

Assessment of areas vulnerable to natural hazards (Case study: Rural areas CountyAzna)
BACKGROUND: Rural areas, usually when compared to other natural events, have the greatest vulnerability of human settlements. The aim of this study was to evaluate natural hazards as earthquakes, landslides, floods and identify high-risk zone in relation to the rural areas of the central township of Azna County, Iran. METHODS: Topographic and geology maps, elevation digital model, and seismic ...
متن کاملAnalysing Flood Vulnerable Areas with Multicriteria Evaluation
Cell-based Multicriteria Evaluation (MCE) methods are used to analyse the flood vulnerable areas. Flood disaster has a very special place in natural hazards. Its effect area is not bounded; it is an unusual event of a river basin. The aim in integrating Multicriteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is to provide more flexible and more accurate decisions to t...
متن کاملUsing spatial analysis to identify areas vulnerable to infant mortality.
OBJECTIVE To analyze the spatial distribution of infant mortality and identify clusters with high risk of death in the first year of life. METHODS The Thiessen (Voronoi) polygon method was used to analyze spatial distribution of the infant mortality rate, calculated by municipality. The triennium 2006 - 2008 was used as a reference to estimate the average infant mortality rate, and the first ...
متن کاملAnthropotechnological analysis of industrial accidents in Brazil.
The Brazilian Ministry of Labour has been attempting to modify the norms used to analyse industrial accidents in the country. For this purpose, in 1994 it tried to make compulsory use of the causal tree approach to accident analysis, an approach developed in France during the 1970s, without having previously determined whether it is suitable for use under the industrial safety conditions that p...
